The probe is inserted into the environment to measure the temperature. The transmitter converts the temperature reading into a 4~20mA loop current signal. This signal is then carried through a two-wire loop to the receiver, where it is read and displayed in the desired units.The emissivity of the survey material is read inside the transmitter, which is then converted into an electrical signal. The signal is then further conditioned and converted to a 4mA to 20mA output, corresponding to the measured temperatures. The signal is transmitted through a two wired cable, running back to the receiver which interprets the signal and displays the result in the desired units.Additionally, the transmitter contains a low-voltage power supply, which can be used to power any accessory devices.
