The E52-P15A-D 3.2 8M is a temperature sensor, specifically a thermocouple. Thermocouples are tools used to measure changes in temperature. This type of temperature sensor works on a couple of basic principles. First, the thermocouple produces a voltage off of a temperature difference that is created when two different wires are connected together. Second, the temperature can be correlated to the voltage produced off of this temperature difference.A thermocouple consists of two different wires that are connected together. One wire is made out of a material that is capable of withstanding high temperatures, such as two different types of metal.
