The EA4455YH is a comprehensive evaluation board developed for off-line DC/DC and AC/DC SMPS applications. This evaluation board features a fully integrated switching power supply with high operating efficiency, high reliability and wide input voltage range. The board features two innovative components: a buck converter optimized for controlling 4.0 A load current and a two-phase bipolar power converter.

The first component of the EA4455YH evaluation board is the buck converter. This buck converter is designed to provide a stable output voltage of up to 4.0 A and regulate the input voltage at the load point. As a result, it efficiently controls the load current and reduces power losses due to short circuits. The buck converter output voltage is adjustable with a range of 0.8V to 20V. Furthermore, it has a minimum On/Off time of 1µs.

The other component of the EA4455YH evaluation board is a two-phase bipolar power converter. This power converter provides a fast transient response in order to achieve an output voltage level that is accurately matched to the load current. It also features a voltage feed-forward control scheme that optimizes the voltage regulation at the load point.
