ECNR75 Application Field and Working Principle
ECNR75 is a type of specialty fuse, specially designed to provide industry personnel with a reliable, overcurrent protection. This type of fuse is suitable for applications that involve large currents, greatly extending the life of electrical devices. In many cases it ends up saving a considerable amount of time and money.
The ECNR75 fuse is mainly used in circuits that involve high currents and line-level circuits. It is able to protect any circuit structures that require strong over-current protection. ECNR75 specializes in providing over-current protection in the range of 5A to 500A, with a long-term/short-term capacity of up to 830A.
An ECNR75 fuse is made out of several components—a metal body,a fuse element, and a cartridge. Depending on the application, the size of the fuse element with its cartridge can vary. The fuse element, also known as the bimetallic strip, is made of two strips of metal, usually aluminum and copper, which expand and contracts when different temperatures are reached.
When the current passes through the fuse, heat is generated that disturbs the balance of the two strips. When the temperature of the two strips reaches the thermal delay range within the fuse element, the element will be activated and the circuit will be broken off. This action will stop the further current flowing, and will lower the operational temperature, allowing the bimetallic strip to reset after the temperature has cooled back to normal. This process is automatic, and it is one of the most important features of the ECNR75.
ECNR75 can be used in a variety of situations, such as in industrial control systems and energy-saving devices, electronic products, home appliances, lighting systems, power distribution centers, or any other electronic system that requires a reliable over-current protection.
