The Working Principle of EE-SX4070

The EE-SX4070 consists of two parts, an Emitter and a Receiver. The Emitter is composed of an Infrared LED which transmits light and a focusing lens to concentrate the beam. The Receiver is composed of a light receiving element and a filter to weed out interference from other Infrared sources.When an object is in front of the Emitter, the emitted Infrared beam is reflected back to the Receiver, indicating the presence of an object. When the object is absent or out of the position, the beam is not reflected and the output of the EE-SX4070 is therefore 0V.This pulse is then passed on to an external circuit which can trigger another process based on the presence or absence of the object.
