Working Principle

The EE-SX677P-WR 1M photoelectric sensor works based on through-beam technology. The sensor combines a transmitter and a receiver into a single unit. It consists of a transmitter and receiver LED and a user-friendly pushbutton interface. The transmitter transmits an infrared light to the receiver. When no object is present, the light is detected by the receiver; when an object enters in the airspace between the transmitter and the receiver, it will absorb and/or reflect that light, which leads to a decrease in the receiver’s output. By detecting such change in the output of the receiver, the EE-SX677P-WR 1M can be triggered to switch on/off circuits.
