The EKIT01-HMC834LP6GE Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is designed for rapid prototyping, evaluation and demonstration of frequencies from 40MHz to 8GHz. It allows engineers to quickly experiment with device configuration, functionality and performance without the need for costly laboratory equipment. In addition, the kit provides the engineer the ability to develop new applications and processes, demonstrate to customers, assess product performance in the lab or in the field, and troubleshoot existing applications.
The kit is made up of an HMC834LP6GE low-noise amplifier (LNA), power measuring unit (PMU), and a 50 ohm directional coupler. The HMC834LP6GE LNA is a 3 stage amplifier that provides greater than 13dB of gain over a frequency range of 40MHz to 8GHz and is fully matched to the 50 ohm load. The HMC834LP6GE PMU is a 6th order Butterworth filter with a ± 0.1dB ripple in the passband, providing high-performance gains, noise reduction and best-in-class dynamic range.
The evaluation and demonstration kit also includes a 50W directional coupler. This coupler provides the engineer the ability to measure the gain of the amplifier, power levels of the signal, and other components of the system. The directional coupler has the same frequency response as the amplifier and is matched to the 50 ohm load, allowing the engineer to use it in combination with the PMU for more accurate power measurements.
The EKIT01-HMC834LP6GE Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is designed for rapid prototyping, evaluation and demonstration of components for high frequency application. The amplifier design ensures high gain, low power consumption and excellent linearity over the frequency range of 40MHz to 8GHz. The low noise figure of 1.4dB and noise figure of 0.8dB make it suitable for use in high-sensitivity applications. The directional coupler allows for accurate power measurements to enable the engineer to examine the performance of the amplifier, while the PMU provides the engineer with a means of evaluating the system’s performance over a wide frequency range.
The EKIT01-HMC834LP6GE Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is a valuable tool that provides engineers with the necessary components to quickly and easily evaluate the performance of high frequency components such as the HMC834LP6GE amplifier.
