The EL3032S1(TB)-V is a triac and SCR output optoisolator that is specially designed for controlling alternating current (AC) power applications. It features an LED coupled with an integrated circuit (IC) optically isolated from its output devices, typically used for isolation and interference protection between an input and output. This device makes it possible for a microcontroller (MUC) to accurately and reliably regulate and control power in a systems with loads of different types.

They are used to provide alternating or unidirectional voltage and current sources in order that two different control systems are isolated from each other. The working principle of the EL3032S1(TB)-V, referred to as “photo-triac output„, is based on the fact that an LED mounted in the device produces light when current passes through it. This light, when falls on the integrated circuit (IC), is converted to electric current and is amplified before it is used to switch an SCR or Triac device. Since the SCR or Triac is electrically insulated from the LED, the device provides electrical isolation between the input and output and thus enables a current controlled output.
The EL3032S1(TB)-V is easy to use and is used to control AC loads of ranges from 0.8A to8A. It can switch loads of different types including (but not limited to) Inductive, Resistive and Capacitive devices. The device is also equipped with status monitoring of two types: Overload status and Short Circuit/Open Load status. This makes it possible for the user to monitor their load\'s status easily.
