EMINLKIT: An application field and working principle.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) has become an increasingly serious problem in our modern, electronically-dependent world. The increase of electromagnetic sources has created an environment where disturbance of electronic devices is very possible, especially when the sources of interference and the devices being affected come into close proximity. Furthermore, the use of cellular and other wireless communication devices or networks can also increase the chances of interference, as can faults within the electronic devices themselves.
To protect electronic equipment from interference, various electronics filter kits are employed in order to reduce the effects of EMI. Known as EMINLKIT (Electromagnetic Interference abatement and Noise Limiting Kit), these kits provide filtering, shielding, and signal conditioning in order to lower the effects of EMI.
The EMINLKIT is composed of two basic components: components that filter and/or shield against EMI and components that serve as a signal conditioner. The filter and/or shielding components are designed to reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference, which could be caused by the failure of components in electronic devices, the presence of strong external sources of interference such as radio or television broadcasts, or the presence of strong electromagnetic fields in the user\'s environment.
The filtering components of the kit are designed to minimize the effects of EMI by blocking the transmission or reception of electromagnetic signals. This is usually achieved by encasing the electronic device in a metal enclosure which is electrically isolated from any external sources of interference. Additionally, the enclosure can be designed to have an air gap or a Faraday cage, which further blocks any transmission or reception of electromagnetic interference.
The signal conditioning components of the kit are designed to improve the performance of electronic devices in the presence of interference. This can be done by dampening the effects of interference on the device\'s circuitry, using transmission line techniques to redirect the electromagnetic fields away from the device, or by using specialized passive components to attenuate or shape the emitted or received electromagnetic signals.
The EMINLKIT is a special electronic kit consisting of components that filter and/or shield against EMI and components that serve as a signal conditioner.
