EML30US12-S Working Principle

The EML30US12-S AC/DC converter is made up of several components. It comprises of a full bridge rectifier, a filter, an EMI filter and a control IC. The rectifier converts the input alternating current into DC voltage which is then filtered with an EMI filter to help reduce electromagnetic interferences. A control IC is used to precisely control the DC output voltage to the desired voltage.

The full bridge rectifiers are made up of four diodes and they convert the AC current into DC at a specific voltage. These four diodes are connected in a bridge formation to have better current conduction during different times of the swinging current and to reduce the output voltage ripple.

The filter is used to ensure that the DC voltage output is free from any ripples that may be caused due to the rectifying force of the bridge rectifier. It helps to guarantee the output voltage is regulated and free from any distortions.

The EMI filter is designed to remove any electromagnetic interference from the output. It helps to reduce any noise which may be caused due to external sources of interference such as a noisy environment.

The control IC is a type of microprocessor which controls the amount of current flowing through the rectifier, filter and EMI filter. This ensures that the output voltage is precisely regulated to the required voltage.
