The ENS210-QF-EK-ST is a low-power, digital relative humidity and temperature sensor that achieves high accuracy measurement results. The compact size of the ENS210-QF-EK-ST enables it to be used in a variety of applications, from mobile phones to healthcare devices. The ENS210-QF-EK-ST integrates two independent, digital relative humidity and temperature sensing elements each with its own sensing capacitor. The inputs are connected to a 14-bit ADC that converts the analogue values to digital values which can be retrieved via the I2C or SPI interface. The ENS210-QF-EK-ST is designed for a wide range of measuring environments. It is inherently resistant to interference from external sources such as moisture, heat and electrostatic fields.
The application fields of ENS210-QF-EK-ST include but not limited to medical sensing, indoor air quality monitoring, smartphones, tablets and other portable devices. It is suitable for measuring different temperature and humidity parameters wherever accurate measurements are required, such as in clinical applications, home and industrial applications, and automotive systems. Additionally, the ENS210-QF-EK-ST does not require any extra condensation resistance due to its high accuracy.
The working principle of the ENS210-QF-EK-ST enables accurate humidity and temperature measurement across a wide range. Its main working principle is based on a capacitive sensing element which is used to measure changes in humidity and temperature by measuring the capacitance of the sensing element. For both humidity and temperature measurement, two processes are followed. First, the sensing element is exposed to the environment and the capacitance is measured. Then, based on the amount of capacitance, the relative humidity and temperature values are calculated and provided through the I2C or SPI interface.
The ENS210-QF-EK-ST combines high accuracy and low power consumption with a flexible, efficient interface. This makes it an ideal candidate for applications such as medical monitoring, indoor air quality monitoring, smartphones, tablets and other portable devices.
