Working Principle

The EPA120100-P5R-SZ AC AC wall adapter is a DC power supply consisting of power frequency transformer, rectifier, filter capacitor, signal voltage and current regulation circuit, and protective circuit. Its circuit is shown in the figure below.

The power frequency transformer converts high electric power into low electric power with a certain voltage ratio, which is converted from AC power to AC power. Next, the rectifier circuit converts the two-way AC power into DC power, and the copper oxide rectifier diode is used as the rectifier element. Then the low-pass filter filter circuit removes the high frequency squa wave components in the output of the rectifier circuit to form a ripple current. Finally, the output voltage of the filter circuit is sent to the voltage regulator circuit, and the voltage regulator circuit is used to control the output voltage and current of the power supply, and the over-voltage and over-current protection circuit is used to protect the temperature, short circuit, etc.
