The EPM9320LI84-20 is a CPLD in the family of complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) manufactured by Altera. This CPLD is designed to combine high-density programmable logic with dedicated memory and peripherals so that a wide range of designs can use one device.The EPM9320LI84-20 is a 5V, 4.5V tolerant device, and provides 84 I/O pins that are organized into two banks, called A and B, configured as separate I/O banks. Bank B is either 5V tolerant or can be powered down, while Bank A is five-volt tolerant and is wired for LVTTL or LVCMOS levels. It has maximum input clock rates of up to 250MHz.The EPM9320LI84-20 utilizes Altera's advanced low-power, low voltage manufacturing process to pack over 630Kbits of programmable logic and dedicated memory into a single package. In addition, there are option registers and programmable I/O registers that can be used to configure the device for a specific application.The application field of EPM9320LI84-20 includes Electrical & Electronic systems, Industrial Automation, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Medical Instruments, Telecom systems, Audio & Video Systems and so on. This CPLD has been designed to provide solutions to many different application-specific needs.The working principle of the EPM932020LI84-20 is based on the concept of reconfigurable logic. It features programmable logic blocks which can be configured to perform a specific function. The logic blocks are also interconnected by programmable interconnect lines, which allow for different functions to be interconnected and provide added flexibility.The EPM9320LI84-20 contains an array of logic blocks that can be programmed to perform any combination of logical operations.
