The ER1025-86KM is capable of handling high wattage isothermal output currents ranging from 0.6A to 5A with a wide range of inductance values ranging from 6.8mH to 120mH. The device is constructed with a ferrite core with an encapsulated epoxy body and highly stable sealed electrolytic capacitors. The ferrite core provides excellent heat dissipation, as well as excellent electrical insulation, making these inductors suitable for both circuit board and SMT application in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 125°C.
The ER1025-86KM inductors\' working principle is based on Faraday\'s Law of Induction, where a changing magnetic flux inside a coil induces a voltage in the coil. This voltage can then be used to power a device or to store energy by causing the coil to store an electric charge. The current passing through the coil generates a magnetic field, which produces a changing magnetic flux that in turn produces a voltage in the coil.
