ERF8-005-05.0-L-DV-TR is a type of rectangular connector from Arrays, Edge Type, Mezzanine (Board to Board) category. Also, the SMT version is applicable to automated pick-and-place manufacturing.This rectangular connector features high-level contact reliability and high-density board stacking capability even in high-frequency applications. Besides, it is compliant to RoHS directive and all the materials used for its construction meet UL 94 V-0 standard.Now let us discuss the working principle of ERF8-005-05.0-L-DV-TR. When the terminals are filled with solder, they are inserted into plated through-holes of the printed circuit board. It is then pushed downward to ensure that it is pressed onto the board firmly. To ensure secure electrical contact between the board and the connector, soldering is performed.After soldering, a tool is used to press the connector pin into contact surface and then compress the latch, ensure that it is locked and secure. During operation, the pin pushes the surface of the contact and exerts pressure on the board, thus creating a reliable connection.Apart from its soldering and mechanical connection, ERF8-005-05.0-L-DV-TR also features a Strain Relief feature which absorbs any shock or strain caused during its handling or during plug-in and unplug-in operation.
