The EV2HMC1119LP4M evaluation board is designed for testing, debugging and developing applications utilizing HMC1119LP4M, a low-cost UHF receiver/transmitter with simultaneous reception capability. This evaluation board includes the capability to evaluate the receiver performance, as well as the transmitter performance of the HMC1119LP4M RF circuit. Additionally, the EV2HMC1119LP4M RF Evaluation and Development Kit can be used in conjunction with the HMC1119LP4M RF circuit to evaluate key receiver and transmitter parameters with actual system designs.

The HMC1119LP4M is a low-cost ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver/transmitter with simultaneous reception capability built on an advanced microcomputer. This RF circuit is capable of accurately receiving and transmitting signals in the frequency range of 5 MHz to 20 GHz. The HMC1119LP4M operates in both half-duplex and full-duplex modes. It supports direct conversion, low-band, high-band, and wideband frequency offset receive modes. The transmit output includes up to 200mW of radiated power level.

The EV2HMC1119LP4M evaluation board has five U.FL type components used to connect to the HMC1119LP4M RF circuit, including an antenna, a differential input board, a differential output board, a power conditioner and an output matching board. The boards are designed to minimize unwanted noise and provide high accuracy performance testing. The antenna is used to receive the signals from the HMC1119LP4M RF circuit. The differential input board is used to connect an external source or signal to the receiver, which allows the user to evaluate the sensitivity of the receiver. The differential output board is used to connect the transmitter to an external load or device, which allows the user to evaluate the output power level through the device.

In addition, the EV2HMC1119LP4M evaluation board includes two separate evaluation boards, one for receiver and one for transmitter. The receiver evaluation board is used to measure sensitivity, linearity, selectivity, and other essential receiver parameters.
