EVDD430MYI is an Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit from Motorola that is designed to be used with its Digital DNA™ MSC711x and/or MSC75xx Digital Signal Processors (DSPs). The EVDD430MYI aims to facilitate the most effective development of integrated system designs using the processors to work together with the EVDD430MYI’s contain components and services to precisely display and trace real-time system operation.The key features of the EVDD430MYI include: 8 MB flash and 9 MB RAM memory for the MSC711x with integrated LCD/touchscreen controller, USB, Serial (RS-232), I²C bus, 16-bit/12-bit external memory interface, GPIO and PWM support, Ethernet/Network connection, Computer Deployment/Application/Development support, and JTAG/BSDL Boundary Scan support.The EVDD430MYI has four main application areas. The first is its application with the Digital DNA™ MSC711x platform. This platform is Motorola\'s digital grid processor that allows for a high performance multiprocessor system to be used in applications such as a network, communications, digital imaging, and other consumer electronics applications. The EVDD 430MYI is optimized for use with the MSC 711x platform to quickly and easily create an integrated system that supports multimedia streaming, JTAG / BSDL, as well as Ethernet card performance.The second application area is its application with the MSC75xx Digital Signal Processors. This family of Microcontrollers are designed for communications applications, including digital cable modems, set-top box systems, VoIP networks, Multi-Service routers, media gateways, and web embedded appliances. The EVDD430MYI offers extensive support for the MSC75xx chips, allowing for the development of highly integrated systems.The third application area is with computer deployment / applications / development. The EVDD430MYI provides a powerful development environment for developers and engineers to rapidly deploy applications. It supports a number of platforms, including Windows, Linux, and QNX.Finally, the EVDD430MYI is also used with the JTAG / BSDL Boundary Scan support.
