The F1842CAH1000 is a very powerful semiconductor switching device that is used extensively in power electronic industry. When the PN-gate junction of the thyristor reaches breakdown and the module is switched ON, current continues to flow through the thyristor until the module is turned OFF. As a result, the module can be employed in DC and AC circuits, AC drive systems and other high power and high frequency applications.
