FAN23SV04TMPX is a four-channel, high-side load switch designed for automotive, industrial and consumer applications in compact designs. It is designed to protect the load from the fault of too high voltage by switching the load from the power supply when the voltage is too high. With this function it can protect components, circuits and systems from damage due to overvoltage.
Application Field
FAN23SV04TMPX is built with advanced EMI technology and provides a very cost-effective solution for controlling multiple, high-side loads up to 40V with an ultra-low EMI level. Its applications include automotive electronics, industrial motor control and consumer electronics. In automotive field, it can be used as cell balancing, HVAC motors and fuel pumps etc, and in industrial motor field, it can be used forwashing machines, air-conditioning units, smoke detectors and refrigerators, etc.
Working Principle
The working principle of FAN23SV04TMPX is deactivation of the high-side load when the input voltage rises above the set threshold. It uses an internal overvoltage detection circuit to detect the excess voltage and deactivate the power output. To restart the load after overvoltage, the device is equipped with an internal overvoltage lockout circuit that prevents the output from restarting until the power supply voltage is within an acceptable range. The device can be configured with a low operating threshold voltage, allowing the device to enable very early in the power-on sequence, aiding in power sequencing.
FAN23SV04TMPX also has automatic Keep-ON feature that can maintain the power after a momentary voltage fall. This can be used to switch off an appliance when no load is detected. Additionally, the device is equipped with a voltage monitoring function that can detect input voltage failure, providing protection against accidental shutdown of theload when the input voltage of the system is reduced or lost.
