The FAP6WEIDLC series is designed for simple installation and maintenance whilst providing reliable and consistent performance.The FAP6WEIDLC series of fiber optic connector adapters comprises of adapters with a wide array of contacts for both SC and LC connectors. The SC adapter feature up to 24 contact points and the LC adapter feature up to 12 contact points. All FAP6WEIDLC adapters are rated to 500V and feature full-metal shells for superior shock and vibration protection.The FAP6WEIDLC adapter family features a unique design which enables reliable connections at high optical insertion and return loss values. This is achieved via two dedicated air-filled recesses located at the back of each adapter. The two recesses ensure that the end of the optical fiber protrudes a minimum of 2mm beyond the ferrule for improved optical performance.The working principle behind the FAP6WEIDLC adapter family involves an inner sleeve with a locking mechanism and a small belt-like housing. An inner sleeve with locking mechanism is inserted into the body of the adapter and the locking mechanism ensures that the adapter stays firmly engaged. A belt-like housing fits on the back of the adapter and a compression nut locks the cable securely. This ensures that the cable remains firmly in place and provides a reliable optical connection.The FAP6WEIDLC adapter family provides the most versatile and reliable solution for connecting optical fibers while providing superior optical performance.
