In terms of physical structure, the FCC17A15PB650 is composed of three parts: 3 shielded shells with round walls, each with a pair of plastic latching arms to ensure reliable connection, 18 gold-plated pins with an insertion depth of 8mm. The plastic is UL94V-0 rated and the shell is nickel-plated. The termination is fully compliant with the EU RoHS directive.

The strength in the mechanical and electrical connection of the FCC17A15PB650 is determined by the rectangular metal insert with spring clips. These clips give the connector reliable and repeatable contacts over a long-term use. The gold plating on the connectors is typically 5μm~30μm thick, ensuring excellent signal integrity and corrosion resistance.
