FLCM application field and working principle

The Disconnect Switch Components FLCM series vacuum circuit breaker is newly developed by our company. It is suitable for being used in applying the three-phase AC 50HZ, rated voltage 400 V, rated current up to 630 A and as a protecting and switching device in electric system.

Application field

The FLCM vacuum circuit breaker is applicable for switching on or off the load current and the overload protection during electric equipment’s start, running and stop, as well as isolated the power supply from short-time caused current short when serious error occurs. FLCM vacuum circuit breaker can be installed in cabinet type structure or independent cabinet according to user’s requirements. It can be used in electric power distribution systems of industrial and mining enterprises, manufacture and construction industry; in particular for the high-rise buildings as main transfer device, or could be used in communication equipment. The FLCM electrical switchgear completely integrated in high-voltage power system, and can be applied to protect and control loads in places where requisite the protection and control of AC voltage lower than 3.6 KV.

Working Principle

The general starting principle of the FLCM series vacuum circuit breaker is that a built-in electromagnetic energy storage device is used to make the contacts together, and the reliable close is achieved by breaking the arc between moving and fixed contacts. The vacuum circuit breaker is a three-phase alternating current circuit breaker based on the principle of vacuum arc extinguishment. When the circuit breaker breaks the circuit, the arc is rapidly extinguished in the vacuum chamber in an autogenous manner. After the arc extinguishes, the equipment is in a safe and reliable state.

Features and Advantages

First, with strong breaking capacity, it has high short-circuit breaking capacity, which can decrease the circuit capacitor, and reduce the line overage, so that power loss can be reduced. Second, it has low power consumption. The FLCM series circuit breaker has the advantages of rapid arc extinction and small contact erosion. In addition, it has perfect arc extinguishing characteristics, which is helpful for the protection to the breakers. It can effectively control the arc and decrease the contact pressure, reduce contact carbonizing, and protect the circuit breaker from aging.

Last but not least, it has high operation reliability. The FLCM series vacuum switch is equipped with an advanced triple sensor device. On the one hand, it can guarantee the high reliability of switching operations on the other hand, it can prevent the problems caused due to wrong operations.
