It is a high gain light pipe system. It uses multiple light pipes, like riser pipes, to tap into the star light sources, capturing and amplifying it into the cabin or to the cabin windows and observation ports.

The primary components of this light pipe system are the optical receiver, the light pipe reflectors, and the photon-accumulating lens. The optical receiver captures the starlight and reflects it into the light pipe reflector. The light pipe reflector directs the light to the photon-accumulating lens, which amplifies the light to a high level. The lens then collects and sends the amplified light back into the cabin.

The FLPR-UG system also features low power and flexibility to adjust the power according to different lighting requirements. This system can also be automated to adjust the light level according to the desired brightness, thus achieving optimal comfort levels for passengers.

In addition, the FLPR-UG system can be directly connected to the DC power supply for providing power. This system is also able to provide a backup system in the event of a power failure, allowing passengers to maintain visibility inside the cabins.
