Once the feedback and status signal have been recieved, the device will then adjust the output voltage according to the requested control signal.
The FPF2700MX power distribution switch, load driver, and integrated regulator deliver enhanced power management, enhanced protection features, and cost savings. It features low quiescent current, adjustable output voltage from 0.6 to 5.5 V, and a programmable switching frequency up to 10 kHz. It also features a low output enable delay of 3.2 µs, and a high output enable delay of 250 µs. The device is protected against overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage, and short circuit protection. It is also able to detect and alert when the output voltage exceeds the critical level.
In addition to its power management capabilities, the FPF2700MX power management integrated circuit (PMIC) also has a comprehensive feature set including ESD, latch-up protection and programmable slew rates. It is designed to meet EMC, surge and ESD requirements in a wide range of applications. The device also features a low power mode which can be enabled by setting the device to low power mode. When in this low power mode, the device is still able to provide a high level of protection and will reduce the current consumption by up to 50%. The low power mode can be enabled using an external logic signal or using an internal signal.
