FSAV331MTC is an interface-analog switch of special purpose developed by Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation. It is designed with professional high performance and can integrate up to 8 channels of single pole single throw (SPST) switch. The minimum resistance of this switch is 40 OHMs, with maximum on resistance of 20 ohms and typical on resistance of 16 ohms. Its high frequency characteristics provides a low R DS(ON) , allowing higher switching speeds and easier interconnection with other components.
FSAV331MTC has an excellent versatility in many applications, its features covers high-speed switching, high voltage, high power, low insertion loss, low VSWR, long-term durability and low EMI/RFI emission. FSAV331MTC can be used for applications ranging from optical communications to broad bandwidth applications such as mobile and business communications networks.
FSAV331MTC switch is composed of a monolithic integrated circuit and is formed by the combination of three through-hole mounted parts: a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), a case and a heat-sensitive control button. The PCB is covered with a variety of trace lines which are designed to distribute and isolate the high current generated by the switch. The case contains the silicon die with eight bidirectional channels and it is filled with a special silicone compound to reduce radio frequency interference and signal reflection between the different channels.
The working principle of FSAV331MTC is based on a symmetric DC voltage. Current paths are established by the switching of gates and the displacement of charges occurs when the symmetric DC voltage is rising or falling.
