Working Principle of FSL106HR

The FSL106HR is comprised of a full-bridge rectifier, a high voltage power switch, a pair of synchronous rectifiers, a high-voltage driver, a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) controller, an integrated opto-coupler, and output current limit.The transformer converts the commercial AC to an alternating voltage. This alternating voltage is then fed to the full-bridge rectifier that rectifies and smoothes the voltage. The high-voltage switch is then operated in an on-off cycle at the desired frequency by the PWM controller. When the switch is on, the voltage is allowed to reach the output, while when it’s off, the voltage quickly drops to zero. The output voltage is then monitored by the opto-coupler which is connected to the PWM controller. The controller makes adjustments to the on-off cycle of the switch to maintain the desired output voltage. If the output voltage deviates from the specified value, the PWM controller makes the necessary adjustments to keep the output voltage within the desired range.The synchronous rectifier is a transistor that allows current to flow in one direction. It is controlled by the PWM controller to ensure that the output voltage remains in specification. In addition, it helps to improve the efficiency of the circuit and reduce heat losses.The high-voltage driver is responsible for controlling the high voltage switch. It is used in conjunction with the PWM controller to maintain the desired output voltage. Finally, the current limit prevents the output voltage from exceeding the maximum rated value.
