FSL306LRLX is a wide-input range, low-cost, low-power offline switcher IC. It integrates an LDO, a high-side MOSFET, and a low-side MOSFET, making it ideal for modern AC/DC power supplies of up to 2W. The IC supports AC mains applications from 90 to 264VAC input with a peak surge current of up to 4A. The device is well-suited for applications where a wide input range is needed and can be found in a variety of consumer, commercial and industrial products.

FSL306LRLX is designed to make power supply design simple and straightforward. It integrates all the active components necessary for generating a regulated DC voltage. The peak current mode control scheme allows for easy loop compensation and fast transient response. The IC also includes numerous protection features including input over-voltage, output overvoltage, output short-circuit, power-failure and input under voltage lockout.

The FSL306LRLX core block consists of a high-side NMOS power switch and a low-side NMOS power switch that form a synchronous rectifier. A built-in linear regulator provides single-stage AC/DC conversion, reducing component count and increasing EMI performance. An integrated BoostFET provides input peak current and high voltage surge protection. The internal 500V MOSFETs enable an extremely wide DC input range from 0V up to 500V.

Additionally, the IC provides various operating modes for minimum consumption and reduced output voltage ripple. The Normal Mode minimizes switch-time losses, resulting in higher efficiency and minimum consumption. The Light-Load Mode reduces output ripple by increasing the off-time of the control and switching transistors when the output load is reduced.

The FSL306LRLX offers a wide variety of features and has been designed for a number of AC-DC applications including desktop/workstation/office equipment, digital TVs, monitors, LCD TVs, notebooks, tablets, tablets and handheld devices.
