When the input voltage increases, the duty-cycle must be reduced in order to maintain the output voltage within the specified range. Here, the current limit control is able to restrict the duty-cycle according to the overvoltage condition. And when the input voltage reduces, the current limitation is removed, allowing the duty-cycle to increase and maintain the regulated output voltage.
The FT441AA DC DC regulator is, therefore, suitable for applications which need fast buck-boost conversion, high efficiency and precise output regulation for input ranges usually found in automotive and communication systems.
