Solid State Relays

A solid state relay (SSR) is an electronic switching device that switches on or off a particular circuit depending on the amount of input ON-OFF signals received. Working principle

A G3RV-SL500-D AC230 solid state relay works by using an optically isolated input to control a solid-state semiconductor switch. The input control circuit is optically isolated from the output circuit to ensure a reliable operation. The input signal is converted to a current by an opto-isolator, which switches on or off the output side of the SSR based on the amplitude of the input signal. The output of the SSR then acts upon the load to switch it on or off. The SSR has a low on-state resistance (typically 10 to 25 milliohms), making it ideal for high-power switching applications.

The G3RV-SL500-D AC230 solid-state relay features a low input current (30mA maximum at 24VDC), a high dielectric strength (6250VAC between input and output), and high surge voltage (2000V peak on-state). It also has dielectric insulation of 4.0kV between input and output, which ensures safety even when the input and output circuits are connected. An internal snubber circuit reduces the effects of voltage transient noise during switching.
