Solid State Relays (SSRs) are considered one of the most reliable and robust methods of controlling electrical circuits. Application Field

The G3VM-401E(TR) is mainly used in applications that require low voltage switching control, such as automotive battery monitoring and disconnection, electronic equipment standby power switching, and signal isolation.

Working Principle

Solid state relays are built using a semiconductor device, such as a powerFET (power field-effect transistor). This device is connected to an internal circuit, which is used to sense the input and control the output. When the input voltage is applied, the semiconductor device is activated and this, in turn, switches the internal circuit on, allowing the output signal to be triggered. This is known as the zero-crossing contact-less switching mechanism.

The G3VM series relays are capable of switching between on and off states within a few microseconds. This allows for much more precise control than a mechanical relay would provide. An internal overvoltage protection circuit ensures that the device is protected from spikes and other high voltage disturbances.

The G3VM-401E(TR) has a high dielectric strength of up to 8 kV and a wide temperature range of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications.
