A solid state relay (SSR) is a type of solid-state switching device that utilizes the principles of semiconductor technology to control signals. It functions similarly to a conventional electromechanical relay, except that it is much smaller and quieter, and does not require a power source. SSRs are commonly used in place of electromechanical relays (EMRs) in various industrial applications and consumer products. G3VM-WFL(TR) is one type of solid state relay that is created with the goal to be used in various applications with a wide working principle range. The majority of solid state relays have two essential elements, a solid-state MOSFET or an optically isolated photovoltaic relay.
