The output of this rectifying bridge accurately follows the AC input waveform and its peak voltage is equal to the peak of the applied AC input voltage.
There are four diodes connected in the bridge; two are connected in a series and two are connected in the parallel. When AC voltage is applied across the bridge, one pair of diode conducts in the positive half cycle and the second pair of diode conducts in the negative half cycle. This allows the current flow from the positive AC input to the negative AC input, creating a full-wave rectifying bridge.
