The working of the GBU8G-BP Bridge Rectifier can be explained by the figure below which shows the circuit of the four diodes connected in a bridge configuration.

When the input supply is applied at terminal A and C, the current will flow in the circuit via D2 and D2 and a DC output will be obtained across terminals B and D. When the input supply is removed, the current will flow in the opposite direction via D1 and D4 and a positive output will be obtained at terminals B and D. This alternating flow of current will obtain a full-wave rectified output across the terminals.
