GC1115 Evaluation Module (EVM) is an 8-by-8 MIMO evaluation board based on the RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards. The EVM features a high performance low noise amplifier two-dimensional array antenna, an 8-channel reconfigurable transceiver that covers the 4 GHz to 5 GHz frequency band, and a 3-axis inertial sensor. It enables 2-D MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication and wideband radio communication for wireless applications such as Wi-Fi, WiMax, and 4G/5G LTE networks.The GC1115 EVM supports high speed data transfer for long range applications, making it ideal for testing and development of modern wireless systems and applications.
The multi-channel transceiver of the GC1115 EVM has a full duplex radios with four transmit and four receive paths (in both directions). The EVM also features a high-precision 3-axis accelerometer for data acquisition and detection. With this accelerometer, the GC1115 EVM can detect and log the orientation, acceleration and other motion of the module. It can also be used to measure RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) as an objective measurement of wireless link performance.
