GG1250 electrical specialty fuses are mainly used in AC and DC power system of power plants, substations,imported equipment and related system, laboratories and other high-tech occasions with rated voltage up to AC1000v or DC 1500v. It can also be used in particular occasions and dangerous places which require short circuit protection. GG1250 type is suitable for low current and high instantaneous capacity of infrequent short circuit protection of line and equipment.
Working Principle
GG1250 electrical specialty fuses mainly rely on the principle of thermal-dynamic action. Under normal operating current, it\'s low ohmic level ensures its low watt loss and keeps the temperature inside of the fuse at a low value. When instantaneous short circuit current due to external mal-operation of internal fault occurs, the temperature inside of the fuse will be rapidly raised and temporary increase of air-pressure will form and powerful thrust on the driving element, drive force will be released rapidly and make the driving element to move and break off, thus, circuit can be broken immediately and short circuit protection achieved.
The electrical specialty fuses are designed to ensure a very fast operation during a fault. The maximum operating time of the fuse is about three to four cycles. After the fault is cleared, the fuse element will need to be replaced.
