The GLT24064-USB-WB is a driver designed for use on LCD modules and can be used for various graphical display applications. It was designed and developed in a joint effort by InnoLux and NXP. The GLT24064-USB-WB has been designed with an intention to make graphical display applications faster, efficient and easier to develop.

The GLT24064-USB-WB is a full-color graphic module with 240×RGB×64 dots. It has a built-in 1920×RGB×1080 high-definition LCD panel and supports 16-bit RGB color depth to display real-time video. The module uses NXP\'s RGB to Cvbs/HDMI conversion chip TFA9880 to reduce dynamic power consumption and increase integration.

In addition, the GLT24064-USBWB application field includes digital TVs, monitors, multimedia kiosks, car LCD displays as well as industrial control systems. It is compatible with various interfaces, such as HDMI (CEC) and CVBS output and supports various resolutions of PC graphics and video signals.

Also, the GLT24064-USB-WB supports the OpenGL ES2.0 3D graphic accelerator to help the user create a high performance 3D graphic user interface. It is easy to combine with the audio/video solution, making it easier for users to develop more dynamic graphic applications. It also offers multiple display functions, such as a negative view display, special default color palette and custom color palette.

The working principle behind this module can be divided into four stages. First is the signal input processing. The GLT24064-USB-WB provides input signal processing functions such as up/down scaling and color spaceconversion. It can accept VGA, DVI, HDMI, CVBS and S-Video signals for processing. Second is the graphics/video processing, which provides progressive/interlaced format conversion and triple buffer flexibility. The third stage is image enhancement, which provides noise reduction, temporal and spatial de-interlacing, color enhancement and various 3D motion enhancements. Lastly, the last stage is power management and provides power-saving functions such as dynamic backlight and contrast control.
