Working Principles

The GPFM115-48G AC DC converter’s operation is based on different stages of rectification, filtering, and conversion processes. It is a three-phase full Wave rectification AC power generating power converter. It works by taking an input of 120Vac single phase or 220Vac two phase, rectifying the current to obtain an AC voltage of 170 to 200Vac, and then using a transformer to adjust the voltage to 80Vac before it is passed through the filter to lowly filter the transistorized output circuit.

Afterwards, the GPFM115-48G converts the AC voltage to DC voltage by using a Schottky bridge rectifier. This rectifier uses a junction barrier Schottky diode, which does not generate a large heat loss. The filter and DC voltage will then be further regulated to reach a steady output of 48Vdc.
