Rocker Switches
Rocker switches are electromechanical devices used to control the on/off state of an electrical circuit. They are typically used as control switches for lighting,HVAC, and power outlets. They are available in a wide range of styles, ratings, and sizes, making them adaptable to many different applications.
GRS-2012-2037 Application Field
The GRS-2012-2037 rocker switch is designed for use in low voltage applications, such as lighting, audio/video, and security applications. It is rated for use with up to 600V AC/DC. It has a minimum operating temperature of -40°C and a maximum operating temperature of 85°C. The GRS-2012-2037 is available in single-pole, double-pole, and triple-pole/lay configurations.
GRS-2012-2037 Working Principle
The GRS-2012-2037 works by connecting terminals of an electrical circuit. The switch consists of a rocker arm, which is attached to the actuating arm of the switch. The actuating arm is spring-loaded, so that when the actuator is pressed, the spring compresses and the contact blocks open, allowing current to flow between the two connected terminals. When the switch is released, the contact blocks close, and current stops flowing. The GRS-2012-2037 also features a built-in lockable handle, which helps prevent accidental turning off of the switch.
