GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB is a wireless antenna conversion system that can be used to evaluate wireless antenna designs. It can operate as a general-purpose test platform for wireless applications such as Wi-Fi, ZigBee, DECT, and others. It can also be used as a development platform for a specific application. It allows users to evaluate, develop, and debug your antenna system without any external hardware, doing this directly with the GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB.The GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB includes a board-level evaluation package which is based on Texas Instruments\' SimpleLink CC3200 Wi-Fi processor. This processor supports all Wi-Fi/IEEE 802.11 standards as well as 802.11h and 802.11n. It also supports ZigBee, DECT, and other popular wireless communication standards. The board includes an integrated power supply and external antenna interface, making it a complete award winning system.The board has two main elements: the SimpleLink CC3200 Wi-Fi processor and the SimpleLink Wi-Fi module. The module provides an external connection to the integrated antenna design via a SMA connector and can be used to directly evaluate the antenna design. The module can also be used to evaluate link performance, debug wireless systems, develop custom user applications, capture protocol data, and much more.The GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB also includes a rich suite of software tools and embedded software libraries which provides a complete development environment. The development tools allow users to create custom applications, program and debug systems, evaluate and analyze data, and more. The software library includes source code for Wi-Fi, ZigBee, DECT, and other protocol stacks as well as several point-and-click development templates.The GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB also includes several standard development tools, such as the SimpleLink™ Studio Code Editor, the Texas Instruments Wi-Fi Driver Library, and the Texas Instruments Wi-Fi Driver Library Documentation. These development tools allow developers to easily edit, debug, and deploy applications for the SimpleLink CC3200 Wi-Fi processor.In addition, the GS1011MEP-EVK2-S2W-WEB includes several advanced features such as an on-board WLAN testbed, robust safety features, and a rich suite of diagnostic tools for wireless system development and debugging. The WLAN testbed is used to evaluate Wi-Fi performance in controlled simulated communications environments.
