The GS1524ACTDE3 is a linear video processing IC that performs both standard non-linear signal processing as well as other linear operations like encoding or multiplexing. It can be used in many applications in the telecom and entertainment industry, such as terrestrial and cable television systems, set-top boxes, signal transceiver systems, and other related video processing applications. The GS1524ACTDE3 is capable of performing various video processing functions with very low power consumption.The GS1524ACTDE3 is a universal video processor, which consists of two video signal processors, video encoders, multiplexers and decoders. Each video signal processor performs standard non-linear signal processing for video encoding and decoding. The video encoder enables video signals to be encoded and transferred efficiently over various video formats. The multiplexers allow multiplexing of video and audio signals. Finally, the decoder can reconstruct the original video signals from these multiplexed audio and video signals.The GS1524ACTDE3 is designed with a dual-pipelined 8-bit digital signal processor (DSP), which uses a two-stage IPC (instruction parameter control) architecture to optimize the internal signal processing. It has a maximum clock frequency of 175 MHz, making it suitable for high-performance applications. In addition, the GS1524ACTDE3 is equipped with integrated RAM, as well as a wide range of digital signal processors (DSPs) and audio codecs that significantly reduce the power consumption while increasing the signal processing performance.The GS1524ACTDE3 integrates the NEC TFT-LCD controller with the built-in three-channel video signal processor, making it suitable for variety of LCD displays. This video signal processor enables video signal processing in the TFT-LCD controller, allowing for less data sent to the controller and fewer memory transfer operations. This processor also supports colour depth up to 24 bits.In terms of power consumption, the GS1524ACTDE3 has an extended operating temperature range of -40℃ to 85℃, allowing for maximum operating efficiency even in high temperature arena. Its peak power consumption is at most 135 mW, so it can be used even in extremely power-sensitive applications.The GS1524ACTDE3 is suitable for a variety of linear applications in the video processing field and the telecom industry. Its low power consumption allows for increased efficiency and productivity while maintaining high performance levels. With its wide range of digital signal processor (DSPs) and audio codecs, the GS1524ACTDE3 is an excellent choice for all linear applications.
