GX-N12ML Application Field and Working Principle

GX-N12ML is a type of Proximity Sensor, which belongs to the non-contact inductive type. It is mainly used in the automation, machinery and industrial control field. GX-N12ML is used to detect the distance of the metal target in a certain range without contact, and to convert it to an electrical signal. The output signal of the sensor is a proportional 4mA to 20mA current.

GX-N12ML consists of a NPNoutput device, amplifier, oscillator, power supply and detection coil. The detection coil emits an alternating electromagnetic field whose strength is a function of the distance from the sensor. When an object approaches the detection coil, the strength of the electromagnetic field decreases and the output signal of the sensor changes, thus causing a detection signal.

GX-N12ML uses non-contact inductive sensing technology and has a sensing range of 0-100mm with a sensing accuracy of ±1mm. It is designed to be compact and robust, with a protection rating of IP67, making it suitable for use in wetting area and harsh environmental applications. The sensor is also equipped with LED indicators to show the status of power supply and load, which goes green when a target is detected.

GX-N12ML can be used in various applications, such as printed circuit board assembly process, simple position control, level control, wall thickness measurement, and object segregation, as well as other industrial automation tasks. It provides reliable detection accuracy, fast response, good repeatability, and stable performance.
