It is designed to meet the MIL-DTL-38999 requirements strictly, and the shell has an aluminum alloy based construction with electroless nickel plating on the exterior and olive drab chromate on the interior for superior corrosion resistance. The connector is also vibration-proof, suitable for long-term continuous operations.

This connector has three positions, thirty-six cavities, and intended for use with crimp contacts. It comes with a retention cap feature that secures the contacts. The contacts have solder tails compatible with V0 circuit boards for high soldering reliability. It allows for a maximum wire gauge of 22AWG, with a single- or double-stranded connection.

H3DKH-1436G features a bayonet locking system, which makes it easy and quick to assemble and dissemble. This bayonet locking system provides reliable mating retention by using two twist screws to lock and unlock the connectors. The twist screws can be used to connect and disconnect the connector without extra tool. It also provides a maximum current rating of 10A, and an IP68 sealing in mated condition.
