Through Hole resistors, also known as Through Magnets, utilize an exclusive combination of resistors and terminations available only through the H444R2DYA series. These resistors are designed to provide excellent electrical performance in high quality installations, including military, marine, and hazardous environments. The series is manufactured using specially formulated lead-free and RF/EMI-shielded ceramic tank technology. The design features the use of a ceramic core with the ceramic shell and termination in a metal housing.

The H444R2DYA series is designed for a wide range of applications, including high current, high voltage, precision, and low impedance. Its design is capable of handling up to 1,000 volts at 30 amps, with a low resistance tolerance of 0.01%. This series also offers the best electrical characteristics of any resistor currently available. It comes with a range of standard current ratings up to 100A, and can be customized up to 500A.

The working principle of the series is based on ceramic composite materials. These ceramic materials are made up of an oxide ceramic base material, along with silver and gold particles that are dispersed in the mix. This mixture provides superior current carrying capacity, high temperature tolerance, and superior electrical performance. When components in the series are connected, the electrical field created between them is able to create resistance, thus allowing the resistor to perform its function.

The ceramic composite material also provides thermal efficiency, which helps prevent thermal shock and sustained damage caused by overheating.
