It is constructed from a high-purity, non-magnetic metal film deposited onto a high-grade ceramic core. This core is encapsulated in a flame retardant, non-magnetic, high-temperature thermoplastic, which provides superior protection from environmental damage and an excellent heat sinking capability.

The H822KFCA is well suited to a variety of applications such as precision analog and digital circuits, wide-band inductors, and RF amplifiers. It can withstand temperature ranges from -55°C to +200°C and its long-term load-life stability is excellent. Its low parasitic reactance ensures high accuracy and repeatability of the resistance value. Due its low cost, it is also used for current-sensing applications, combining small size and excellent thermal conductivity.
