Through Hole Resistors

Through hole resistors, also called axial resistors, typically have two leads at opposite ends of a cylindrical package. A cylindrical resistor with a small wire connecting the two side leads to the body is known as a screw terminal resistor. Through-hole resistors are used for high-current and high-voltage applications, as the leads are designed to allow resistance wire to be wrapped around itself in a coil, to improve electrical contact.

The H8280KBYA is made of a highly conductive Mn-Ni alloy,sintered with high temperature and sintering pressure. This construction provides superior resistance stability over temperature, humidity and temperature cycling and makes the H8280KBYA an ideal choice for high reliability applications. The sintered alloy construction also provides superior stabilities over voltage, current, noise and other electrical parameters.

The H8280KBYA features an axial lead construction, which allows for easy assembly and attachment to other components.
