H860R4BYA is one type of through-hole resistor that uniquely offers many features.

H860R4BYA is a long-life, reliable through-hole resistor, designed for military and avionics applications that are subject to extreme temperatures and environmental conditions. The resistor is rated for temperatures up to 850°C, and humid environments of up to 95% relative humidity. It is characterized by high-current and high-temperature capabilities, improved noise reduction, and a low self-heating effect. This makes it particularly suitable for use in high-performance circuits. The H860R4BYA is also designed to minimize inserted force to reduce board and component stress. The plain lead unit is designed for boards with 0.062” maximum hole size and is also available in a threaded version for larger hole size applications.

This through-hole resistor has a wide range of operating temperatures from -55°C to +850°C and has a maximum power rating of 0.2 watts at 100°C. The rated resistance is from 0.5Ω to 10kΩ, and voltage ratings up to 150V DC. The resistor has excellent voltage stability, low inductance, low resistance noise, and high pulse load capability. H860R4BYA three-terminal element resists a variety of static and dynamic conditions.

The working principle of H860R4BYA is based on the quantum theory of resistance. This theory states that the resistance of a material depends on its conductance, temperature, and doping density.
