Through Hole Resistors (H897K6BDA)

Through-hole resistors are the most common type of resistor used in electronics and are found in all kinds of consumer products and production systems. Application Field and Working Principle

Through hole resistors are used to control the amount of current flowing through an electrical circuit, which is essential in the safe operation of an electronic device. They can also be used to create voltage dividers, protect other components from excessive current, and dissipate heat generated in a circuit.

The working principle of through-hole resistors is based on Ohm’s law, which states that the current in a circuit is directly proportional to the voltage applied across it, and inversely proportional to the resistance of the circuit. Through hole resistors are generally sold as encased components, or occasionally in an open construction. The terminals of the component may also be plated with solder or gold to prevent corrosion, or they may be sealed with a lacquer to protect against moisture.
