HAL542 SF-E Application Field and Working Principle

HAL542 SF-E is a magnetic sensor with linear and compass (ICs) functionality designed for high precision applications. It is able to measure the linear and angular displacement, and provides a code output. It can be used in a variety of applications such as robotics, medical imaging, automotive, aerospace and industrial automation.

HAL542 SF-E works by detecting the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet assembly with a third-order low-pass filter. This filter helps to reduce high-frequency noise, and allows the sensor to measure a wide range of frequencies with varying frequencies. The magnetic field is generated using a multi-layer arrangement of permanent magnets and the readouts are fed to the controller through a differential interface.
