The HAL810 UT-A is a family of Hall effect devices designed to operate as linear, compass & ICs magnetic sensors. The compact size and integrated amplifier circuitry of these components makes them ideal for a wide range of applications including automotive, medical & general industrial applications.
The linear Hall effect sensor combines a Hall effect cell with an on-chip amplifier to measure linear displacement. Linear displacement is the displacement of an object along an axis, regardless of direction. This makes it ideal for applications such as linear motor drives, positioning systems and position detection.
The compass & ICs magnetic sensors measure rotational movements of a magnet. A compass & IC sensor can measure the direction of a magnetic field by mapping out the field\'s vector components. The chip combines a Hall effect cell with an on-chip magnetoresistive sensor and amplifier to generate an output voltage proportional to the angle of the magnetic field\'s vector component in the x-y plane.
The integrated circuitry of the HAL810 UT-A optimizes the Hall voltage detection system by providing an on-chip Hall voltage amplifier, a voltage-to-frequency converter, and a differential amplifier. The amplifier can be set to either low voltage gain or high voltage gain depending on the need. The voltage-to-frequency converter converts the signal output from the Hall voltage amplifier to a frequency proportional to the magnetic field strength. This makes the device ideal for a variety of applications, including automotive ignition, speed and rotational angle measurement.
The differential amplifier allows for the comparison of the signal output from the voltage-to-frequency converter to a reference point set by the user. The result is that the differential amplifier is able to accurately amplify even small changes in the Hall voltage, providing a more accurate picture of the magnetic field strength.
The HAL810 UT-A family of Hall effect ICs is designed for a wide range of applications, including automotive, medical & general industrial applications. The integrated amplifier circuitry makes these components ideal for accurate measurement of linear displacement, direction in the x-y plane and changes in magnetic field strength.
