HC1-HL-DC12V-F relays are suitable for a range of applications. This family of power relays are designed and constructed for use in applications which require more than two amps of current, including automotive electronics, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment and military equipment. They are also suitable for computerized control systems and safety systems.
The HC1-HL-DC12V-F has great features and operational characteristics. It has a 3 sigma current rating of 40A (120A Max.); a voltage rating of 12VDC (300VDC Max.); UL, CUL, VDE, TUV, and CE approvals; and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The relay is a two contact configuration. When the relay is energized, the contacts close, allowing current to pass through. When the relay is de-energized, the contacts open, breaking the current. The relay has a surge withstand capability, as well as an internal snubber circuit.
This relay incorporates a unique latching circuit which allows the user to select between a NORMAL CLOSE or NORMAL OPEN operation. NORMAL CLOSE will cause the contacts to close when the relay is energized and remain closed until the relay is de-energized. NORMAL OPEN will cause the contacts to open when the relay is energized, and remain open until the relay is de-energized.
The HC1-HL-DC12V-F is designed with a full coil/no coil operation feature. This feature ensures that the contacts will always open or close according to the setting, even if the relay is energized or de-energized without use of the coil.
The relay also features one-shot operation, allowing a single energization cycle without intermittent operation of the load. The contacts of the relay are sealed in an epoxy, for improved environmental resistance and fast cycling. The relay driving circuit can be connected directly to the coil circuitry, making it easy to install and use.
The HC1-HL-DC12V-F is designed for reliability, and has a large number of coils and terminal configurations available. The wide range of features makes this relay an ideal choice for applications that require more than two amps of current.
